Tennessee Man Tips $22,000 And Gets Arrested For Public Intoxication Creative Commons

A man has been arrested by Rogers County police after reportedly killing at least one person and injuring two others using his truck.

The man, identified as Clinton Cottom, was allegedly not invited to the Bedlam party that was held at the area of South 4100 Road and East 480 Road.

According to reports, Cottom arrived at the party was uninvited. He was also intoxicated and allegedly sexually harassed a woman.

Cottom was physically restrained from entering the house and was asked to leave the premises due to his behavior and his being intoxicated.

But rather than leave, Cottom got on to his truck and drove it towards the house where a group of people was gathered outside. The guests were forced to scatter with some heading inside the home while others fled to the garage.

Cottom would continue using his truck, this time to ram some cars in the driveway. One man was pinned between two vehicles and was brought to a hospital in critical condition.

The man would hit another car but the truck went airborne and flipped on its side. It landed on Terry McCauley and efforts to free her were made with the help of a tractor. The truck was eventually lifted but McCauley eventually died at the scene.

A third person was also left injured by the incident after being struck with Cottom’s truck bumper. The unidentified female victim is expected to survive.

Two other guests were inside an SUV at the time of the incident and were also hit by Cottom. It was not mentioned if they too suffered injuries from Cottom’s truck-driving rage.

Cottom faces charges of first-degree murder, four counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and sexual battery.
