César Sánchez, 30, is charged with repeatedly calling the United States emergency telephone number, 911, to request that the authorities deport him to his country. The undocumented immigrant living in Florida, assures to the operator that he was sick, but it wasn't an emergency, he simply wanted to return to his country of Guatemala.
"You called 911. Okay, what is your emergency, sir?" The operator asked in Spanish.
"I'm really ill, it's not an emergency, I just want to be deported," Sánchez replied.
According to reports from Univision, the Hispanic made the calls from Collier County, Florida, while riding his bicycle on one of the roads of the city of Naples. When the call ended, several police officers located the Guatemalan and arrested him on charges of misusing the emergency service.
Sánchez is being held in the county police department and charged with a $ 2,000 bail. Although the undocumented is behind bars, it is unknown whether it will be handed over to immigration authorities.
What has happened has generated strong reaction from the Latino community living in the United States; Since Donald Trump assumed the presidency the issue of deportation has caused much concern on the part of undocumented immigrants.
