Naughty Dog has released the first new episode of "The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." This new series will chronicle the creation of what could possibly be Nathan Drake's last adventure.
In the first video released in the series, we delve into the evolution of the franchise since its inception. Several team members including the Creative Director Neil Druckman and the Games Director Bruce Straley, talk about how past games influenced "Uncharted 4."
Fans also see Richard McConagle, the voice actor for Sullivan, discuss how strange the idea of motion capture was when "Drake's Fortune" was in development and how the technology wasn't often used in video games. Which now is incorporated in a slew of AAA titles.
Furthermore, Lead Audio tech Phil Kovats hints that this could indeed be the end of Drake's adventures as he refers to "Uncharted 4" as the "final chapter." Whether Drake sees a bloody demise or a happy ending is still up for debate, but we're hoping for the latter.
From March through April we'll see the following videos in the series released:
- "The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End: Growing up with Drake"
- "The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End: Pushing Technical Boundaries Part 1"
- "The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End: Pushing Technical Boundaries Part 2"
- "The Making of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End: In the End"
Check out the new video below and look out for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" May 10, 2016.
