Xbox boss Phil Spencer has come out and congratulated both Naughty Dog and PlayStation's Shuhei Yoshida on a job well done with "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End," reports GameSpot.
Spencer tweeted, "Congrats @Naughty_Dog and @yosp on another great Uncharted with #Uncharted4, amazing work." In response, Yoshida thanked Spencer for his praise tweeting back, "@XboxP3 @Naughty_Dog ( ´ ▽ ` )ノ Thanks Phil, see you at E3." Check out the tweets below:
It was a nice exchange and shows the support between two competitive companies. This is not the first time Spencer has come out and shown support for PlayStation. In the past, he praised Sony for its press conference, its success with the PlayStation 4 console and even said that one is not a real gamer if one roots for one console while hoping the other will fail.
"Uncharted 4: A Thief's End" will launch in just a few days, specifically on May 10, exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Reviews for the game have started coming out, and critics are showering Naughty Dog's latest title with extremely high praise.
"Uncharted 4" is the last game in the series that Naughty Dog plans to make and the final game that will star Nathan Drake. However, rumors have been floating all over the Web saying there could be an "Uncharted 5" title with a new protagonist.
Meanwhile, ahead of the release for "Uncharted 4," PlayStation launched a new mobile puzzle game starring Nathan Drake. The game called "Uncharted: Fortune Hunter" gives players a new perspective of controlling Naughty Dog's iconic hero.
Much like "Hitman Go" and "Lara Croft Go," "Fortune Hunter" puts Drake on a grid-based puzzle environment with lots of deadly pathways and task for each player to overcome.
Furthermore, "Fortune Hunter" will reward players with multiplayer perks for "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End." Kotaku reports if you link a Sony Entertainment Network account to "Fortune Hunter," you’ll be able to unlock specific outfits, weapon skins and other goodies for use in "Uncharted 4’s" multiplayer mode. Aside from different skins, users will get relics and one-time-use boosters.
"Uncharted: Fortune Hunter" is available on Android and iOS devices. The title is free and offers in-app purchases.
