A new study has revealed that a number of unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have been spotted over the skies of Ukraine.
The research was conducted by Ukraine's National Academy of Science. It was done with Kyiv's Main Astronomical Observatory. The study involving unidentified aerial phenomenon (UAPs) has not been peer-reviewed, according to The Jerusalem Post.
Due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war, Ukraine's skies have been busy since late February. The invasion by Russia has seen the sky buzzing with drones, planes, missiles and artillery shells. But the war reportedly has nothing to do with the recent study, and it seems to be motivated by an interest in UFOs.
The study noted that its research through the Main Astronomical Observatory of the NAS of Ukraine focused on "daytime observations of meteors and space invasions." And studying UAPs is just a byproduct of this.
The researchers divided UAPs into two types. One is Cosmics which are objects brighter than the background of the sky. The other is Phantoms that are dark objects with a degree of contrast. Both seemed to move at extremely high speeds. It could be difficult to even track them. So to do this, the researchers utilized two meteor stations. One is in Kyiv. The other is 120 kilometers (74.565 miles) away in the village of Vinarivka in the southern Kyiv Oblast. They were able to track a number of UAPs using the stations.
Each of the UAPs moved at very fast speeds. Some of them were estimated to be between three and 12 meters in size. But there was no indication as to what these UAPs might be.
Meanwhile, Dmitry Rogozin, the chief of the Russian space agency, said that he believes in the existence of extraterrestrial life. He feels that they might be more intelligent and technologically advanced than humanity, RT reported. He said on Saturday that while staying unnoticed, aliens might also be studying the civilizations of Earth.
Rogozin noted that thousands of factors could have contributed to the emergence of life anywhere in the universe. He pointed out that people know the ‘Big Bang’ theory, but what if "this ‘Big Bang’ took place only within a certain part of the universe that is visible to us?” The Roscosmos chief added that “there might be other worlds."
Rogozin stated that the Russian Academy of Sciences has been conducting studies and “collecting facts” related to aliens and UFOs in particular.
