Truth Behind Angelina Jolie's Unfair Advantage In Joint Custody Battle With Brad Pitt

Things remain complicated for ex-couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, as Jolie is hell-bent on retaining a tight grip — on the custody of the six children that she shares with Pitt.

“She has no issues with Brad spending time with the kids and she is being sure to follow all visitation guidelines set down by the courts, but she doesn’t want to give up primary custody,” said the source to a popular Hollywood portal. “Of course, if the law requires her to give Brad joint custody she will comply, that’s a given,” the insider added.

Just for the record, the former power couple, who split in 2016, have waded through messy times—for their divorce and the custody battle—and have finally settled the latter though a truce in November 2018. But, Jolie and Pitt are accepting things with grace in regards to co-parenting.

The truce is a tad complicated and gives Jolie the upper hand. But, the arrangement is fashioned as such that the children spend ample time with their father at his place, in Los Feliz, when they’re all in Los Angeles. The ample time equates to several visits to Pitt in a week.

Jolie’s kids mean the world to her, and she’s been a fiercely protective parent. Even though Pitt has gotten the shorter end of the stick, there has been no drama so far. In fact, the estranged couple is dealing with this arrangement with absolute maturity. Pitt is completely okay with Jolie taking the kids when she’s away on shoot locations provided he gets his scheduled time with them.

Despite things seemingly going well with this truce -- which leaves Pitt with less than 50 percent of the time with his kids, there’s an interesting catch: the kids have so far only been photographed with Jolie despite spending time with Pitt as well. Without reading too much into this, there’s only one thing to concede: Jolie is willing to go the extra mile for her kids as they are her world.

Jolie loves spending time and is trying her best to be a hands-on mom despite the struggles. She was, recently, snapped taking the kids on a shopping tour. What’s more, Jolie was accompanied by her kids for her international "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" press tour throughout September and October.
