There’s no drama whatsoever going on between Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk when it comes to parenting their daughter, Lea. And it’s not true that Cooper’s mom, Gloria Campano, is concerned about her “grandma privileges” being revoked after what happened to his son and Shayk.
Recently, a tabloid falsely claimed that Campano had reached out to Shayk so she could still see her two-year-old granddaughter following her split from Cooper. According to the tabloid, Cooper’s mom has been making an effort to keep herself out of Cooper and Shayk’s drama and stay on good terms with her son’s former partner so she could spend time with Lea regardless of whether or not Cooper is in town.
“Bradley’s mom isn’t trying to get in the middle of any drama between them,” the suspicious source of the tabloid allegedly said. “She’s staying neutral,” the source added.
The source also said that Campano has been trying to keep her relationship with Shayk intact to ensure that her grandma privileges won’t go away. “Gloria just wants to see her granddaughter, whom she adores, as much as possible,” the source allegedly said.
While it’s normal for any grandma to long for her grandchild, it’s not true that Campano is afraid that she might no longer see her granddaughter after Cooper and Shayk’s split. Gossip Cop debunked the tabloid report and dismissed claims that a custody battle could be looming between the ex-couple.
True enough, in a recent interview, a source close to the former pair revealed that both Cooper and Shayk want their daughter to live a normal life despite their split. “Irina’s number one priority is their daughter,” the source said. “She is such a hands-on mom. She takes her to the park, to classes, to playdates, and just adores her,” the source added.
Another source also revealed that Cooper and Shayk are very much in good terms when it comes to their daughter. So Campano does not need to reach out to Shayk just to see her granddaughter.
“For Lea’s sake, they keep spending time together as a family,” the source revealed. “Bradley is a great dad. He has always been very involved with his daughter.”
