Donald Trump has reportedly been printing a pricey new "God Bless the USA" Bible in China, a country he previously accused of taking away jobs from Americans, according to new documents.
Between February and March of this year, nearly 120,000 copies of the bibles were shipped from a printing company in Hangzhou, a city in eastern China, according to global trade records reviewed by the Associated Press.
Trump's patriotic Bibles are being sold for $59.99, about 20 times more than the estimated value of the Bibles, which was less than $3, according to databases reviewed by AP. Signed copies of the Bible are being sold for $1,000.
Copies of the U.S. Constitution, Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights and Pledge of Allegiance are featured in the Bible. Two days before a shipment of 70,000 Bibles arrived March 28 in the Port of Los Angeles, Trump posted a video to Truth Social asking followers to purchase them.
"This Bible is a reminder that the biggest thing we have to bring back in America, and to make America great again, is our religion," Trump said in the video.
Back in February, Trump said in an interview with Fox News that he would impose tariffs of up to 60% on China, as reported by Reuters. During his presidency, the U.S. faced off in a trade war with China, leading tariffs to be placed on billions of dollars worth of goods.
