Trump officials are claiming that attacks against Tesla assets across the U.S. are coordinated, but a new intelligence bulletin claims otherwise.

CBS News reported that the document, issued by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the FBI, concludes that the incidents, which have taken place across at least nine states, "appear to have been conducted by lone offenders."

The bulletin also explains that the "incidents have involved arson, gunfire, and vandalism, including graffiti expressing grievances against those the perpetrators perceive to be racists, fascists, or political opponents."

The latest incident took place in a Tesla dealership in Austin, as police were called to inspect potential incendiary devices. President Donald Trump called the perpetrators "terrorists."

The issue is dominating the political conversation, with politicians on both sides of the aisle weighing in on the matter, especially considering Tesla owner Elon Musk's role in the current political landscape.

At least three people face federal charges for allegedly attacking Tesla properties across different states, said Attorney General Pam Bondi last week. "If you join this wave of domestic terrorism against Tesla properties, the Department of Justice will put you behind bars," she added.

President Donald Trump also weighed in on the matter, saying he is looking forward to "watching the sick terrorist thugs get 20 year jail sentences for what they are doing to Elon Musk and Tesla."

"Perhaps they could serve them in the prisons of El Salvador, which have become so recently famous for such lovely conditions!" Trump added, in reference to the decision to send Venezuelan deportees to the Central American country's infamous CECOT prison, where lights stay on all day and inmates are only allowed out of their cells 30 minutes a day to exercise in the hallways.

Democratic Rep. Jasmine Crockett also made headlines during the past days after expressing her desire for Musk to be "taken down." She was promptly criticized by Republican counterparts, but she clarified that she was advocating for legal, peaceful activism.

However, on a Sunday Fox News appearance, Pam Bondi accused Crockett of supporting acts of vandalism against Tesla and warned her to "tread carefully," implying legal consequences.

Crockett, however, dismissed Pam Bondi's warning about her criticism of Elon Musk, telling her to focus on Trump's pardons of January 6 rioters if she is concerned about domestic terrorism.

The conflict stems from Crockett's support of #TeslaTakedown, a protest movement calling for nonviolent demonstrations against Musk and his company, as reported by the Daily Beast. The group is organizing nationwide protests at Tesla dealerships on March 29, opposing Musk's influence on government policy and calling for Tesla owners to sell their vehicles.
