A Trump-supporting X (formerly Twitter) account has been denounced by Bernice King, daughter of minister and civil rights activist Rev. Martin Luther King Jr., after posting a deepfake video of her father in which he is shown to be endorsing the former President.

"We've been told again and again that we cannot vote for the man that did more for the Black community than any other president," the ad relays in King's voice, generated by artificial intelligence (AI). "If a Black man dares speak out in support of Donald Trump, a Democrat is always there to call that man an Uncle Tom, a house negro or even worse."

Bernice King, who has repeatedly endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris, demanded that the account delete the misleading video, which she stated did not represent what her father truly stood for.

"It's vile, fake, irresponsible, and not at all reflective of what my father would say," King wrote. "And you gave no thought to our family."

The AI-generated video of King was first posted to the platform by the account Ramble Rants, associated with a group referred to as the Dilley Meme Team which creates memes in support of the former President.

"Welcome to 2024," responded Brenden Dilley to Bernice King's post addressing the fake video.

Members of the King family have made their opinions on the 2024 presidential race evident, first endorsing President Joe Biden, and then Vice President Harris. Many family members of King have also harshly condemned Trump.

Bernice King is a particularly vocal critic of the former President, having been incredibly staunch in her support for Harris since the Vice President became the Democratic nominee.
