The fallout among MAGA conservatives over what they see as an underwhelming release of files related to deceased sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein continues, with the daughter of a Donald Trump cabinet member now joining the fray.
Evita Duffy-Alfonso is the daughter of Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy. She is also a host at the Bongino Report, the social media company owned by FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino, known for espousing conservative views as a political commentator before joining the Trump administration this week.
Duffy-Alfonso set her sights on Attorney General Pam Bondi, criticizing her for hinting at explosive content in the files even though there ended up being no bombshells.
If the Trump administration has no Epstein info because the New York FBI is refusing to hand over documents, then why did Pam Bondi say the Epstein files were sitting on her desk? Things would be going a lot smoother if she had just told us the truth.

"If the Trump administration has no Epstein info because the New York FBI is refusing to hand over documents, then why did Pam Bondi say the Epstein files were sitting on her desk? Things would be going a lot smoother if she had just told us the truth," Duffy-Alfonso said.
Many MAGA supporters also took to social media to express their frustration with the way the information was handled. Rep. Anna Paulina Luna, leading a task force on the matter, criticized the fact that she didn't receive any information on the matter and that a "NY Post story just revealed that the documents will simply be Epstein's phonebook." "THIS IS NOT WHAT WE OR THE AMERICAN PEOPLE ASKED FOR and a complete disappointment. GET US THE INFORMATION WE ASKED FOR!" she added.
A group of conservative influencers was seen leaving the White House with binders reading "The Epstein Files: Phase 1" but they did not provide any additional information. The first wave of files posted on the DOJ's website were already available, as well as an address book allegedly belonging to Epstein and his longtime confidant Ghislaine Maxwell.
The fallout also took a strange turn after the House Judiciary GOP's official X account teased a major revelation from the long-awaited Epstein Files but ended up posting a link to Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up," a move widely used in the internet to troll people.
Other MAGA household names, however, continued expressing optimism about finally getting what they have been looking for. "The Epstein list is going to be released and much more is coming. There is currently a war raging within. The resistance within will be beaten and the truth will be revealed," said Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, adding that she is "proud" of the work by Bondi and FBI director Kash Patel.
Before @FBIDirectorKash was confirmed the FBI refused to hand over all the Epstein files. @AGPamBondi has requested the rest of the files from FBI Director Kash Patel and they will be delivered tomorrow to Pam Bondi’s desk.
