As Israel and Hamas approach a ceasefire deal, it was revealed President-elect Donald Trump allegedly promised Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu he can break it, according to Ynet News, an Israeli newspaper.

Trump allegedly made a conditional agreement with Netanyahu and the Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer that stated if Israel agrees to a ceasefire and withdraws Israel Defense Forces from the Gaza Strip, he would later support Israel violating the ceasefire.

Additionally, Trump told Netanayhu that he would cancel the Biden Administration's sanctions on settlers and "far-right elements," Ynet News reported. In November 2024, Biden added sanctions against groups and individuals taking part in illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank.

At the time, State Department Spokesman Matthew Miller said Biden and Antony Blinken "have repeatedly stressed with their Israeli counterparts that Israel must do more to stop violence against civilians in the West Bank and hold accountable those responsible for it."

"But, as we have also made clear, in the absence of such actions by the government of Israel, we will continue to take our own steps to hold those responsible for violent extremism accountable," Miller told reporters, according to Al Jazeera.

Trump also plans to go to war with the International Criminal Court for issuing arrest warrants for Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, Ynet News reported.
