It took them some time but it finally looks like HBO's final season of "True Blood" is on track to make this a memorable last one. A new trailer released at the end of their San Diego Comic-Con '14 panel previewed what fans should expect from the five remaining episodes. Saturday at the convention the "True Blood" gang gathered one last time to bid farewell to their fans except Alexander Skarsgard (Eric Northman). With the series ending in just a few weeks this was the actors last Comic-Con for "True Blood."
Though it was an emotional Comic-Con reunion with many of the cast members reliving and sharing their fond moments from the hit-vamp show the Trubies were treated to a surprise trailer that previewed the final five episodes of "True Blood."
From the trailer we see that Sookie (Anna Paquin) is trying to find a cure for Bill (Stephen Moyer) with the aide of Eric and Pam (Kristin Bauer van Straten). It is also revealed that Sarah Newlin knows of a cure for the Hep V virus. Tara appears again to Lettie Mae and apparently Lafayette, Violet is out for revenge against Jason and Hoyt is back in town and looks to be back with Jessica. Check out the insane trailer below.
Meanwhile executive producer Brian Buckner revealed that yes the "True Blood" fans will indeed see more Sookie and Bill romance. "Look, this is obviously a television show and it's a television show that worked at first, and was a hit, because the two of them [Bill and Sookie] have amazing chemistry," said Buckner. "The show works because of them. The actors even got married in real life because of the show. So, yes we are returning to Bill and Sookie, but we're just not saying how."
He also revealed the reason behind Bill's many flashbacks in season seven saying, "We had a character who we turned into a vampire god and he wasn't all that nice as a vampire god, so the thinking here, with the flashbacks, was as Bill tries to find his way back to himself we use flashbacks to his human life to give him a bit of help."
