This is the first in the list and probably the most popular thing to do on New Year’s Eve in New York. thousands of people come to Times Square for the countdown to midnight on Dec. 31. When the clock strikes 12, people watch the ball drop to signify the New Year.
Harbor Cruise in the New Year
New York offers many cruise experiences for visitors and on New Year’s Eve, the New York Harbor is open for people who want to welcome the new year aboard a yacht and in formal attire. Friends and families can enjoy dining and drinking while sailing on the night of Dec. 31.
Watch the Fireworks
The state has many places where fireworks are launch on display for the New Year. One that everyone can pick is the annual New Year’s Eve fireworks at the Prospect Park in Brooklyn and live entertainment is available before midnight, as per New York Post. The fireworks display in Central Park is another option.
