Tony Blair's daughter Kathryn was walking her dog with her boyfriend and a few friends when they were threatened at gunpoint not far from her central London property that her father bought her in 2010. The attack occurred Monday at 8 p.m., and no one was harmed. It is believed that the mugging was related to another instance of the same crime earlier in the evening. One suspect was wearing a balaclava while the other covered his face with a scarf. The two brandished a firearm and threatened the group, which is what happened to another couple in the previous incident. "Kathryn was with a group of friends. No one was hurt and nothing was stolen," her spokesman said in a statement.
It is possible that Kathryn is a high-risk target for such crimes due to her former prime minister father's role in the Middle East, in which he was originally for peace before deciding the country should go to war in 2003, much to the outrage of the people. "It seems staggering that the daughter of a man who evokes such extreme emotions in some should be wandering around in the dark at night without protection," a security expert told the Daily Mail. The group of friends escaped harm by running away once they saw the weapon. Detectives are currently investigating the matter, and no arrests have been made yet. The 25-year-old lawyer was recently called to the Bar by Lincoln's Inn. It is one of the four Inns of Court in London that both her parents joined in the 1970s.
