Are intrigued by the CW's new show "The Tomorrow People?" Well, so are we! "The Tomorrow People" is a revamped version of a British children's science fiction television series, which was popular in the 1970's. But now the science fiction series has gotten a US makeover, and its sexier then ever. The new series stars Robbie Amell, Peyton List, Luke Mitchell and Aaron Yoo as "The Tomorrow People," a genetically advanced race of humans that possess psionic powers such as telepathy, telekinesis, and teleportation.
The show centers upon these advanced teens, which displays the next step of human evolution and it's emergence on Earth. "The Tomorrow People" are born to human parents, living a normal life until they approach adolescence. As they reach adulthood, these superior humans experience a "breaking out" which is the moment they develop their special psionic abilities. In the pilot episode "The Unknown," we met Stephen Jameson as he is "breaking-out" of his normal live and is beginning to develop his telepathic abilities. Stephen has been hearing voices in his head and waking up in strange places, with no explanation, he thinks that he is going insane. Wearily he listens to one of voices in his head, the unknown voice leads him to met "The Tomorrow People."
The interaction is chaotic, with Stephen believing he has lost his mind when they inform him what he actually is. Even more terrifying then Stephen's realization of his advanced abilities is when "The Tomorrow People" reveal his life is in danger. The powerful teens are being hunted down by a paramilitary group of scientists known as Ultra, led by Dr. Jedikiah Price. Who is actually Stephen's uncle! Wait what?! Another exciting plot twist of "The Tomorrow People" will be Stephen's search for his father, who disappeared mysteriously years ago. His unexplained disappearance has shaped his son's life, but will Ultra have something to do with it? The first season of "The Tomorrow People" will mostly center on Stephen and the search for the truth about his father. One last exciting tidbit about the CW's new sci-fi drama is about an evolutionary adaption about "The Tomorrow People." They can't kill. Despite Ultra hunting down the advanced race of humans, they are not retaliating through more murder. Their psychological makeup prevents them from intentionally killing others, even their enemies.
