Tina Fey and Amy Poehler totally nailed it at this year's Golden Globes. They were such a power duo, in fact, that they've been asked to do it again. Fey told Ryan Seacrest on the red carpet of the 2013 Primetime Emmy Awards Sunday that she and Poehler have been invited back to host the award show in 2014. "Have you asked Amy yet, because we literally said we're going to talk about it tonight because we haven't seen each other," Fey said when asked about the subject. The stellar performance by the duo, who incited much laughter and applause from the audience, prompted immediate pleas from viewers that they return.
Speculation on their second-consecutive run with the Golden Globes began back in August, but had since gone without confirmation. Fey and Poehler reportedly only agreed to a one-time appearance, but the wild success of the night persuaded producers of the awards to ask for a repeat. The 2013 Golden Globes saw a 17 percent spike in ratings and some of the highest in recent years. The show brought in more than 20 million viewers that year, trouncing over Ricky Gervais' hosting job the year prior. Fey and Poehler have not yet begun plans for their appearance as the two have been working on separate projects from significant distances to have time to discuss it, though Fey said the two will be coming together soon.
