Netizens were in hysterics after watching a viral video where a man chugs a drink from his girlfriend's menstrual cup after mistaking it for a shot glass.
The TikToker, who goes by the username @dduche, shared a clip of himself using the menstrual cup like a shot glass in which he asked: "Someone please explain to me what this is."
The man initially thought it was a makeup tool, but later changed his mind and concluded it is a 'perfect sized' shot glass.
He went on: "What kind of make-up device is my girlfriend using? Is this for, like, application? No."
"Why does it have a tail? This feels illegal to have."
"Hold on a minute, I think I know what this is for. Is this a portable shot glass? It's like a perfect size. Look at this."
"And then you, like, wring it out so nobody knows what's in there," he says in the video.
"Ladies please help me out and tell me what this is in the comments. I think it's a shot glass, but I think I'm wrong," he adds.
Thousands of TikTokers were quick to point out that the man was dead wrong and that he had just taken a shot from a hopefully clean and unused - menstrual cup.
One person said: "How do you tell a man that he just drank out of and played with a menstrual cup?"
Another wrote: "I can't count how many times I yelled 'NOOOOO' at my cell while watching this."
A third joked: "It's a shot glass for Dracula."
A woman warned: "Men, this is why you need to keep out of women's things - you're going to get hurt."
Another person commented: "He put it in his mouth. The poor man. Wait until he finds out."
Another user joked: "Let’s give this man a standing ovulation."
The viral clip has since been viewed almost 30 million times.
Menstrual cups, made of silicone or latex rubber, are inserted into the vagina to catch and collect women’s menstrual fluid. Fortunately, the man later confirmed he's now fully aware of the purpose of the object.
