The National Football League has seen impressive quarterback play from expected and some unexpected places, as we approach the mid-point of the season.
From a backup quarterback stepping in to replace a star in Geno Smith, to an odds-on favorite for the Most Valuble Player Award in Josh Allen, here are four quarterbacks having a stellar 2022 season.
Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson is a dual threat who can toss touchdowns and run for long gains. He has lived up to the hype in 2022, accounting for 1,635 yards and 15 touchdowns through the air for the Baltimore Ravens offense. The former Louisville Cardinal continues to demonstrate his ability to scramble, and he is ranked 11th in rushing with 553 yards and two touchdowns leading up to Week 9. He has positioned the Ravens in first place in the AFC North, with a 5-3 record.

Geno Smith
Filling the shoes of former Super Bowl champion Russell Wilson who was traded to the Denver Broncos, Geno Smith has been playing like a man-on-fire. He has passed for 1,924 yds and 13 touchdowns and is holding a 107.2 passing rating. His efforts have led to a 5-3 start for the Seahawks, as they sit at the top of the NFC West.
Geno Smith did not write back yet.

Jalen Hurts
Jalen Hurts has led the Eagles to their best start since 2004, as the last remaining undefeated team in the NFL at 7-0. His 1,799 yards and 10 TD’s add to the domination the Philadelphia Eagles continue to demonstrate on the field. In a surprising NFC East, the Eagles are poised to fly away with the division title, and beyond.

1. Josh Allen
Josh Allen amounts for 85 percent of the Buffalo Bills league-leading offense and is considered the front-runner for league MVP. His 6'5'' frame and amazing speed make him a factor in the Bills rushing attack, one where he has amassed 306 yards on the ground and two rushing touchdowns. Allen's scrambling abilities has helped open up the passing lanes to a solid core of receivers led by Stefon Diggs and Gabriel Davis, both recipients of most of Allen's 19 touchdown passes.
