Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick is among the Republican officials blasting the Biden administration for allegedly seeking to auction materials destined to building the southern border wall for pennies on the dollar.

Speaking to Fox News' Laura Ingraham, Patrick anticipated he will seek to turn the situation around in favor of Republicans. "Message to the White House right now: I will bid on all of that wall and we will buy it in Texas and we will give it to Donald Trump," the official said.

"We have the money. We are going to have six billion in our budget for border security," Patrick added. He went on to continue criticizing Biden, calling the administration "despicable for what they're doing to the American people."

"[Biden] will go down as the worst, most despicable president in the history of this country because no one has done more to damage this country and hurt American citizens," he claimed.

The Daily Wire posted this week a video showing trucks moving stacks of wall materials allegedly destined to building the border wall. The outlet quotes a U.S. Customs and Border Patrol agent who said that "they are taking it from three stations: Nogales, Tucson, and Three Points" and that "the goal is to move all of it off the border before Christmas." The site also published an apparent auction being made through GovPlanet, with sections of wall panels set to begin at only $5.00.

Although official sources have yet to confirm the veracity of finding, several other prominent GOP representatives as well as Patrick are also expressing their outrage at the news.

"President Biden is rushing to sell off sections of the wall that are yet to be built," said Texas Senator Ted Cruz through a post on X, adding that "President Biden and Kamala Harris have successfully put illegal aliens over the safety and security of our own citizens" and cautioning his followers to "never forget why the American people rejected them."

Missouri Senator Eric Schmitt also took to X to express his criticism. "Want to buy a piece of the border wall? The Biden Admin's starting bid is $5," said Schmitt with irony before adding that "this isn't the first they've pulled this stunt and tried to sell border wall materials at a steep discount." He accompanied his post with a video of himself warning about a similar operation by the Biden administration in the past.

Texas Congressman Dan Crenshaw called the auction the "biggest holiday sale of the season" and suggested that Texas Governor Gregg Abbott "should buy all the materials for Texas' own border wall construction and then use freed up funds for Operation Lone Star to transport more illegal migrants from Texas to Democrat sanctuary cities."
