Temar Boggs a Lancaster Pennsylvania teen is being hailed as a hero for helping to rescue 5-year-old Jocelyn Rojas, following her kidnapping.

On Thursday Boggs and some friends were hanging out when a man asked them if they had seen the missing girl. The boys had not seen Jocelyn Rojas and returned to watching TV. Later on Boggs and his friends joined police and family members in the search for Rojas.

"We got all of our friends to go look for her," Boggs told Lancaster Online. "We made our own little search party."

Boggs did not know Jocelyn or the Rojas family prior to her kidnapping. He told his local newspaper that he had a gut feeling he would find Jocelyn.

As Boggs and his buddies searched the area on their bikes the 15-year-old noticed a maroon colored car looking out of place. The teens noticed the car zig-zagging in and out of side streets. The boys quickly followed the car and noticed the driver was an older white male and also saw the little girl in the back seat.

The chase lasted 15-minutes. Likely startled by the boys following him the kidnapper stopped the car and pushed the child out before taking off again.

Boggs told his paper that the girl ran into his arms crying for her mother. He carried the little girl back to police. Boggs said she was afraid to let go of him and go with the officers.

"She runs to my arms and said, 'I need to see my mommy, Boggs said. "She didn't want to leave me because she thought [the police] were going to do something to her. I said 'no, no it's okay.'"

The Rojas family is grateful to Temar Boggs and his friends. They have called him their hero but Boggs says he is just a normal teen.

Lancaster Police are still looking for the man responsible for kidnapping Jocelyn Rojas.
