The teen acquaintance of a 15-year-old sex abuse victim has been arrested, along with the 40-year-old man accused of her rape, following the grim discovery of the girl's corpse in an alley near Chicago on Aug. 7.

The victim, Melissa Rendon, of Chicago, who had intellectual impairments, was found dead in an Oak Park alley after spending the night with suspects Joslia Williams, 18, and Sergio Hernandez, 40. Days before Rendon's horrific death, Williams had shared a room and meals with her family, the Daily Mail reported.

Police moved to charge Hernandez with criminal sexual assault, aggravated criminal sexual abuse, and concealment of a death and hit Williams with child pornography and concealment of death charges. Both are being held on a $500,000 bond each.

The teens were reportedly inside the man's car on Aug. 6 when Rendon, Williams, and another person were administered pills believed to be Xanax as they spent the night drinking and smoking marijuana.

It is alleged that Williams then shared a series of Snapchat videos of the drugged Rendon being raped by Hernandez, with the 40-year-old in the front seat of the car having sex with the victim's unconscious body.

Hernandez and Williams would later pull the 15-year-old into the back seat without any suspicions and fall asleep for hours. They would later wake up to find Rendon was no longer breathing and were unsuccessful in reviving her.

The man proceeded to drag Rendon out of the car to dump her corpse onto the ground before fleeing the scene, according to the Law Officer. A passerby would stumble upon the body around 8:30 a.m. on Aug. 7 in the Oak Park neighborhood and phone 911 for help.

The exact cause and manner of Rendon's death remain unknown at this stage. Oak Park Police Commander Paul Kane said they might move to upgrade the charges against the pair following a further probe, which echoes the calls from the victim's family.

Rendon's father, Jeffrey Carrillo, also vowed to advocate for tougher bond restrictions to ensure accused child rapists won't be able to return to the streets awaiting trial, according to Fox News.

"I want to talk to congressmen and have a law made that someone who rapes a child should not be allowed to get a bond because if he raises the money, he’ll be able to go home. My daughter can’t come home," he said.

"There’s an emergency room 100, maybe 200 feet away and this is where you put her? It’s the hardest part of the situation," the father lamented. "He drugged her, he raped her and he dropped her dead body right here, 200 feet from the emergency room."

Three days after the victim's funeral mass on Thursday, dozens of people in the neighborhood gathered on Saturday to pay tribute to the 15-year-old and light candles at the spot where her body was found.
