Teen Girl Kills Self After Man Blackmails Of Sharing Her Morphed Photos

A 19-year-old girl killed herself after a man threatened her of circulating her morphed photos on the internet. A 22-year-old man and his mother have been arrested for abetting the girl to end her life.

The girl, who will not be named, consumed poison on June 11, according to a complaint filed by her father. The teen died in the hospital the next day. She was from Singanallur, a residential neighborhood in the city of Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, India.

Based on the complaint, Singanallura police arrested Keshavkumar aka Vijay Sethupathi, and his mother, 46-year-old Mangayarkaras on Sunday, June 20.

In the complaint, the girl’s father alleged that Keshavkumar had been repeatedly threatening his daughter of circulating her fake nudes on the internet if she did not give him money.

During the investigation, officers learned that the suspect’s mother knew her son’s deeds and supported him in the crime.

As per the First Information Report, the girl met Keshavkumar at a bus stop near Singanallur in 2019. The two became close after Keshavkumar told her that he had fallen for her. The accused had clicked a few selfies with the victim during a college function.

The accused then allegedly started blackmailing the girl saying that he would morph her photographs and release them on social media

According to the FIR, the accused had snatched a debit card from the victim and then started demanding money from her.

She initially gave him some money but he wasn’t satisfied. The victim then took some money from her parents saying she had to pay her college fee and gave it to the accused.

When the accused continued to threaten her, the victim was forced to give her two gold rings to him.

However, the accused did not stop his threats and the helpless teen decided to end her life.

She narrated her ordeals to her father when he found her vomiting at the house after she drank poison.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died the next day.

Investigators went through the accused’s phone and discovered numerous videos of him involved in violence. Police also found evidence proving that he had been threatening many other victims as well.
