A 14-year-old Indian boy allegedly murdered his mother’s boyfriend after he could no longer stand his torture.
The incident happened Monday, May 17, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The teen first stabbed the victim and then bludgeoned him until he was sure the man wasn’t breathing.
According to the Ahmedabad Police Crime Branch officials, the victim, who has not been named, used to constantly torture the accused and his mother.
The victim used to beat up the woman daily. Whenever the teen tried protecting his mother, the victim beat him up too.
"He used to beat the boy’s mother every day and whenever the boy tried to intervene, he would also be beaten," The Times of India quoted a crime branch officer as saying.
All hell broke loose on Monday when the young boy decided to retaliate and put an end to the sufferings of his mother and himself.
The teen narrated his ordeal to a friend and then bought a knife to commit the murder, police officials said.
The boy took the victim to Kaliko Mill Compound in Baharampur on his scooter. The teen had chosen this location as it was a quiet place, police said.
Once there, the boy pounced on the victim and stabbed him. The teen then repeatedly stabbed the victim to ensure he was dead. The suspect fled the scene leaving the victim in a pool of blood.
Police were alerted after passersby discovered the bloodied body.
The teen boy was later taken into custody. The charges imposed on him were unclear at this time.
Investigators have retrieved the bloody knife and the scooter used in the fatal incident.
The case has been handed over to the Danilimda police. This is an ongoing investigation and no further details have been revealed at the time of this writing.
