Taylor Swift is a very candid person, chronicling her colorful romances in her hit songs throughout the years. If we’ll believe the tabloids, she’s at it again — two of her latest songs might signal the next phase in her relationship with Joe Alwyn.
Life & Style magazine reported that Swift’s song “Lover” from the album of the same name is dedicated to her current beau, whom she wants to settle down with as evidenced by the lyrics. “I’ve loved you three summers now, honey, but I want ‘em all,” she sang. “I’d marry you with paper rings,” the songstress added in another track, “Paper Rings.”
However, Gossip Cop verified if there’s any truth to the rumors, and it has confirmed that there’s none. The publication has cross-checked this with a source (a friend) who’s close to the couple, who just laughed it off.
He also pointed out that the second song identified by the magazine was written by Bleachers frontman and songwriter Jack Antonoff, so it’s a bit of a stretch to say that it was written with Alwyn in mind. “The reality is that a musician most famous for singing songs about relationships is still singing songs about relationships,” Gossip Cop dismisses.
Life & Style even alleged that Swift made a “vision board” of what their wedding would look like. This collage is said to be a collection of her desires, such as a big white dress, humongous cake and a ceremony at “a castle near Joe’s hometown.”
Gossip Cop has been calling out Life & Style and its sister publications for their incessant claims about Swift’s marriage to Alwyn. National Enquirer claimed that the couple planned a 4th of July wedding at her seaside Rhode Island property.
Star, on the other hand, reignited her feud with Katy Perry by reporting that she’s racing her to the altar. The latter alleged that the 29-year-old superstar is “furious” when Perry announced her engagement to Orlando Bloom last February.
“She won’t be able to live with herself if her wedding is outdone by Katy,” a false source was quoted. But everyone needs to calm down as the two pop singers are clearly now friends.
