Timing couldn't have been worse—or funnier—for Arizona tattoo artist Travis Meisenzahl, who had just finished inking his wife with a "RIP TikTok" tattoo when they discovered the app's U.S. ban had been lifted.

Meisenzahl, known as Jucebox, documented the hilarious moment in a video that has since gone viral. The clip shows his wife's fresh ink, a gravestone featuring the TikTok logo with the years "2016-2025," followed by a shot of her phone displaying a "Welcome back!" message from the app.

Both husband and wife burst into laughter at the ironic turn of events. "F––ing TikTok's back," Meisenzahl exclaims in the video, struggling to contain his amusement. "Are you joking me right now?" the caption reads.

The ban on the popular Chinese-owned app was briefly implemented just before President Joe Biden completed his term. Hours later, incoming President Donald Trump—who had pledged to reinstate TikTok—was credited for lifting the ban, rendering the commemorative tattoo instantly outdated.

Despite the mix-up, the couple took it in stride. "Being in the tattoo industry, we like to do silly things," Meisenzahl said.

The incident has resonated with social media users, many of whom are calling it the "most 2025 thing ever."
