Black Friday is less than a week away, and planning will be key to getting the best deals when retailers open their doors.
Target opens its doors at 9 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and the retailer said its Black Friday deals will feature some of its lowest prices ever.
"We heard from our guests that they look forward to kicking off their holiday shopping with deal-hunting on Thanksgiving night," said Kathee Tesija, executive vice president, merchandising, for Target. "Opening at 9 p.m. gives Target's Black Friday guests a more convenient way to create an after-dinner shopping event that the entire family can enjoy."
Target will sell an Apex 32" LCD HDTV for $147 - the regular price is $249.99. For $349, you can get a Westinghouse 50" LCD HDTV. Target said the quantities for this "special purchase" will be limited and no rain checks will be offered.
You can save $50 on a purchase of a Nook simple touch e-reader with Wi-Fi and 6" touch screen. Target has the e-reader for a store price of $49.
On Apple products, Target will also have some deals and offer Target gift card with some purchases.
An iPad with Retina display with a $60 Target gift card will cost you $499.99; an iPad smart cover will cost you $34.99, a fourth generation 16GB iPod touch with a $40 Target gift card will cost you $195, a 16GB iPod nano with a $20 Target gift card will cost you $149.
If you purchase an iPhone 4S on Virgin Mobile's network with no contract, it will cost you $499. The iPhone 4 will cost $399.99. Each of these purchases will be eligible for a $100 Target gift card.
If you're on the prowl for games, Target will have an Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle for $199.99 The bundle features 4GB Xbox 360, Kinect sensor, two games, wireless controller and one month free of Xbox Live.
Also for $199.99, Target will sell a Playstation 3 250GB game system. The system is one of the retailer's "doorbuster" and includes a PS3 console, 2 games and one wireless controller.
A PS Vita with Wi-fi Bundle will cost you $199.99 and includes a free LEGO Batman 2 game. This usually costs $249.99.
For $119, you can get a Wii system bundle with two games, and a free Just Dance Kids 2 game.
Target said its Nintendo 3DS game system is a "special purchase." For $149.99, you can get the system with a pre-installed Super Mario Bros. 3d Land game.
If you need accessories for your games, Target will sell Xbox 360, PS3 DualShock and Wii video game controllers for $39 each.
If you shop on Black Friday between 4 a.m. and noon and spend $50 or more in apparel, accessories and home, you can get a free $10 Target gift card.
