“Supernatural” Season 15 is the show’s very last one. While this is certainly saddening for many of the show’s fans, this also means that the season might be its most exciting and massive one. Below are all the details that is currently known about the show — from its cast to its release date to all the spoilers and plot lines to expect.

Cast

While it’s still very early to know the whole Season 15 cast, it’s easy to bet some of those who will be part of it. Jensen Ackles, Jaded Padalecki and Misha Collins will certainly be part of the last season. Jeffrey Dean Morgan is still a question, but fans can certainly hope. He was in the series’ 300th episode after all.

The actor tweeted something about the final season announcement, although it remains unclear whether he will be part of the final season. His tweet can certainly be read both ways.

“I just want to say to all of @cw_spnfamily ... that was one hell of a run. I hope this last year is enough time to wrap up a story that deserves only the best. My love to cast, crew and fans,” he wrote.

Release Date

The 15th season of “Supernatural” is set on Thursday, Oct. 10, at 8 pm ET. It’s going to be immediately followed by the “Legacies” Season 2 premiere at 9 pm ET.

What To Expect

Everyone is understandably emotional since the show is the longest-running genre series in American broadcast television history. Additionally, the series is the last show that was created by The WB network before it merged with UPN in 2006 to establish The CW.

The last and final season of “Supernatural” will have a total of 20 episodes. This means 20 weeks of anticipating what loose ends get to be tied up in this season and what are left. When talking about loose ends, this show certainly has a lot. The season will be concluding a decade of storytelling after all.

But fans need not worry as Andrew Dabb will certainly have everything under control. “God was not kidding when he said it was the end of this story,” he shared in an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“And by the end of this story, it means the end of the world. The question of what that looks like, the question of how Sam and Dean deal with that, I think those are the big things that we’re going to explore going into season 15,” he added.

Executive producer Robert Singer also shared to the TV Insider that fans shouldn’t worry about the show not getting a happy ending either, at least not totally. “Frankly, we don't want it to be a total downer,” he said. “I can't promise that the world is all butterflies and sweetness at the end,” Singer continued.
