The New Year’s first SuperLotto Plus jackpot ticket that matched all six numbers drawn on Saturday, Jan. 8, and won a lottery prize of $13 million was reportedly purchased by someone at Sunnymead Liquor, 24121 Sunnymead Blvd, the Press-Enterprise reported.
The winning numbers for Saturday, Jan. 8, were 25, 2, 42, 41, 13 with a Mega Ball of 27.
The store that sold the winning ticket will receive a $65,000 bonus for selling the ticket.
According to a release from the California Lottery officials, the winner is advised to sign the back of their winning lottery ticket in ink, make a copy of the front and back of the stub, and put the ticket in a safe place until he claims the prize money. The winners are also advised to fill out a California Lottery claim form, which is available on the Lottery’s website, at Lottery district offices, and at Lottery retailers.
Meanwhile, the lottery officials stated that the winner has around 180 days from the date of the draw to claim the prize money.

Brian Donohue, a mathematics major at the University of Virginia, won Virginia Lottery's Bank a Million game and reportedly won $1 million for the Dec. 22 drawing. The winning ticket was reportedly purchased by Donohue's mother at a Giant Food in Oakton, WVSN reported.
When asked about what he plans to do with the prize money, Donohue told the lottery officials that he intends to put his winnings toward his school tuition.
Bank A Million, a lottery game only played in Virginia, has drawings twice a week and has top prizes of $1 million, $500,000, and $250,000, depending on what the player wages on the ticket. To play the game, the players have to choose six different numbers that range between one and 40. The numbers that the player chooses have to match with the winning numbers in order for the player to win the prize.
Donohue's mother purchased the ticket and chose the six numbers herself. Luckily, the numbers that she chose ended up matching with the winning numbers and they reportedly won $1 million.
According to Virginia Lottery officials, the odds of winning the top prize in the game are 1 in 3.8 million and the odds of winning any prize are 1 in 18.3.
