The 30th character for "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U and 3DS has been announced. It has been revealed Ike, from the "Fire Emblem" series will be making a return as a playable character for the titles next installment.
The announcement was made by Masahiro Sakurai as part of his daily update on Miiverse. His announcement for Ike said, "Ike, the swordsman of magnificent strength, joins the battle!! Strike your foes down with his powerful smash attacks."
Ike first made his appearance in the 2008 Wii title "Super Smash Bros. Brawl."
In addition to Ike the roster includes 29 playable characters: Greninja, Charizard, Yoshi, Sheik, Zero Suit Samus, Diddy Kong, Little Mac, Lucario, King Dedede, Zelda, Rosalina and Luma, Marth, Mario, Donkey Kong, Link, Samus, Kirby, Fox,Pikachu, Bowser, Pit, Villager, Mega Man, Wii Fit Trainer, Pikmin & Olimar, Luigi, Peach,Toon Link and Sonic.
"Super Smash Bros." for 3DS is slated to release this summer while the Wii U version is said to be available Winter 2014
