Step Aside Shakira, Cristiano Ronaldo Has Become The New 'King of Facebook'

Ladies and gentlemen, there’s a new ‘King of Facebook’ who’s disthroned the former Queen, Shakira. We’re talking about Christiano Ronaldo who just surpassed the Colombian beauty on Facebook page “likes”. The Real Madrid striker had (up to last night) 107,134,368 “likes” on his official Facebook page, while Shakira's official page had 107,083,641 letting her hold her ‘Queen’ title for nearly 11 months! Although technically we could have a King and Queen at the very top, we doubt these two want to share the crown.

Following Christiano Ronaldo and Shakira, is rapper Eminem with 98,670,214 followers and further down the list, at No.7 is Barcelona rival, Lionel Messi who has 78,300,007 followers; a fact we think might make Ronaldo very happy. But, although they’re at the top on Facebook, the two still have a long way to go on Twitter if they want to be at the top, side by side with Katy Perry who has 66,797,008 followers. Ronaldo comes in at number 13 with 34,213,486 followers and Shakira at 16 with 29,766,108.
