
The rumor mill is in full swing and buzzing that an unknown Oxford actress named Maisie Richardson-Sellers will land a key role in “Star Wars: Episode VII.” It is said that Richardson-Sellers will play Obi Wan Kenobi’s daughter or granddaughter. The production is meeting with actors in London as it tries to find its cast for the highly-anticipated Disney/Lucasfilm production begins filming in May.

While filming is starting soon a couple of roles have yet to be filled such as that of a young black or mixed race woman who may be a descendent of Jedi Knight Ben Kenobi. Deadline reports that the producers are keen on Richardson-Sellers, who trained at the University of Oxford and whose main acting experience has been of local stage productions.
The cast for “Star Wars: Episode VII” is still being rounded out and filming will start soon with the film expected out December 2015.
Meanwhile the movie will return to Tattooine, and feature both R2-D2 and Chewbacca.
