St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner! The Irish festivity that was made an official Christian feast day in the early 17th century, is in honor of Saint Patrick, the foremost patron saint of Ireland, and commemorates the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. The holiday also celebrates the Irish heritage and culture.
In recent years, the cultural and religious holiday has become a worldwide tradition and is celebrated by people around the globe, Irish and non-Irish alike, with drinks, music and everything green. With that said, here are some of the many ways you can celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
1) Wear something green! Otherwise, you will get pinched.
2) Head to Spotify, Pandora or iTunes and listen to Irish music the entire day.
3) Google some Irish words or slang to impress your friends.
4) Serve green-colored food for breakfeas, lunch or dinner.
5) Learn how to Irish dance ---YouTube probably has some tutorials.
6) Eat traditional Irish food.
7) Build a Leprechaun Trap!
8) Attend a local St. Patrick's Day parade.
9) Go to an Irish pub with friends.
10) And why not? Plan a last-minute trip to Ireland!
