Mel B has gotten herself banned from "Australia's Got Talent."
Scary Spice was working for the Australian version of "The X Factor," and breached her contract when she signed to appear in "Australia's Got Talent." The shows appear in competing networks, and the terms of the contract Melanie Brown had with one of them forbid her to work on a rival show until the end of the year.
The ban will last until at least 2014, which means Brown will not be able to start filming in the summer.
Judge David Hammerschlag ruled that under the agreement, Brown had the obligation to provide her exclusive services to Seven, the network that airs "The X Factor": "I see no reason why she should not be ordered to keep her word that she would not work for anyone but Seven in Australia in 2013."
Seven had planned to use Brown sporadically throughout the season, but it is unclear if they will still be featuring her as judge.
"Australia's Got Talent," on their part, are reportedly in talks with fellow ex-Spice Girl Geri Halliwell to join the panel of judges.
