"South Park" returns on Wednesday, Nov. 20 for Episode 8 of Season 17 with "A Song of A** and Fire", as "hordes of soulless shoppers approach the mall in anticipation of the Black Friday sales" in this all-new episode, according to a press release from South Park Studios. "The console wars are heating up in South Park. Princess Kenny's betrayal has left Cartman out for revenge," reads the press release. "The kids prepare for an epic battle where one faction's favorite gaming device will come out on top. Will Stan and Kyle's friendship survive Black Friday?" Scroll down to check out a preview video of the episode before it airs at 10pm ET/PT on Comedy Central on Wednesday night.

The show is back in action after it was hit by an unprecedented setback last month: as creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker worked feverishly to meet their deadline at the last-minute, in typical fashion -- the duo are notorious for writing and creating each episode in the week before it's set to air, a process which for most animated shows takes months - the studio suffered a blackout. That caused a several-hour delay in production of "Goth Kids", Episode 4 of the seventeenth season. And it turned out that those hours were too precious to lose: it ended up causing Stone and Parker to miss their deadline. So for the first time in 17 seasons, when Comedy Central came calling for the two to hand in their final product, they had nothing to give them, and the network aired an old episode instead.

Last week's episode, "Black Friday", ended with a cliffhanger, as partisans of PlayStation and Xbox turned against one another as winter approached. This week's "Song of A** and Fire" picks up where we left off, on the "Game of Thrones" theme. Stan is on the side of PlayStation, as he prefers the PS4 controller, while Cartman and Kyle are on the same side, for once, because of the Xbox's transition from gaming to movies and television. This week, we'll likely see which of the two sides comes out on top - as well as whether a typically clueless Randy Marsh will be able to survive Black Friday when it hits a nearby mall. Check out a preview clip below, and watch the full episode when it airs on November 6 at 10pm EST/ 9pm Central on Wednesday, November 13th on Comedy Central.
