Another South Carolina teen has been arrested alongside his mother in connection to the murder of a 15-year-old in Richland County just days after another mother and son duo were arrested and charged in connection to the case.

17-year-old Darius Walker and his mother, Khadeidra Thomas, were arrested on Wednesday after Thomas brought her teenage son, who is allegedly an accessory to murder, to Richland County Sheriff's Department headquarters to turn himself in. Walker's identity had been released as a wanted individual on Jan. 9, reported WLTX.

The arrest was in connection to the murder of a 15-year-old occurring on Quinton Lane in December of last year.

Following an investigation into Walker, law enforcement stated that Walker had allegedly assisted in concealing the murder weapon. Furthermore, Thomas reportedly deliberately provided false information to law enforcement to assist her son. Deputies also stated that they had obtained additional evidence proving that Thomas helped Walker evade law enforcement.

Both mother and son were taken into custody at RCSD headquarters. Walker is charged with accessory and Thomas is charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstruction of justice.

"We will continue to hold parents accountable when they choose to condone or participate in their child's criminal activity," Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said.

On Jan. 6, 48-year-old Patrice Johnson, the mother of a 14-year-old charged in connection to the same case, was arrested after she allegedly waited hours to call law enforcement after the murder occurred despite knowing about it. She is charged with accessory after the fact.
