'Sons of Anarchy' is just getting started and already we've had deaths, shootings, and emotional turmoil and now it looks like another member of SAMCRO will not survive. Long time SAMCRO member Tig Trager (Kim Coates) has gotten himself in some trouble before but this time he may not be able to get out of it alive. At the end of season four Tig accidentally killed the daughter of gangster Damon Pope (Harold Perrineau). Pope naturally wanted revenge and burned Tig's daughter alive while Trager was chained up watching.
In season five Jax (Charlie Hunnam) helped Tig get revenge on Pope by letting Tig shoot Pope with Clay's (Ron Pearlman) gun setting Clay up to take the fall and leading to the events of the current season. Damon Pope's associates have not forgiven the events that led to their boss' death. Everyone with the exception of Jax, Gemma (Katey Sagal), and Juice (Theo Rossi) believes that Clay shot and killed Pope. Despite Pope's death his associates still want Trager dead to avenge Pope's daughter.
At the end of the last episode Jax sends Tig to a studio used by the Persian porn makers the club sent packing. Tig is supposed to be collecting the left over equipment left by the two brothers making torture porn. Instead Jax tells Pope associates where Tig will be and they show up to the studio looking to exact their revenge. The episode ends with everyone assuming Tig is a goner, but that is what Jax led viewers to believe last season and in the end Jax saved Tig.
Following lat week's episode actor Kim Coates sat down with TV Line to discuss Tig's current predicament. When the TV Line reporter told Coates she was worried about Tig, Coates responded, "You should be worried." Did Coates just confirm that Tig will not survive episode four? Not quite, Coates also told TV Line, "Tig's got nine lives - but he should be dead a few times by now." TV Line also asked Coates if there was any reality in which Tig could survive his encounter with Pope's henchmen.
The reported pointed out that Clay has also survived a brush or two with death but is still kicking. "That's a great statement and question... Look, the greatest thing about Kurt Sutter is that just when you think you know what's happening, you don't know what's happening. Just when you think you know what's going to go down, it doesn't go down. So, I will leave you with that. By the end of the third episode, everyone must think, 'That's it. Oh my God, please no.' But just keep watching because s**t always seems to happen," Coates said.
