Not only is she one of the funniest women on television, Sofía Vergara's ability not to take herself too seriously has turned her into a national treasure. What other high-profile actress would be willing to stand on a 360-degree rotating pedestal as she did at The 2014 Emmys?
She's the total package; with the adorable accent of Dezi Arnaz, the comedic timing of Lucille Ball and the body of Marilyn Monroe.
Her role as Gloria Pritchett in "Modern Family" has garnered her many accolades, including both Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.
But as reported today by E!News, it was on The Tonight Show Tuesday evening that Vergara showed what her voice is truly capable of, thanks to a helium balloon provided by host Jimmy Fallon.
An self-confessed fan of her voice, Fallon requested the actress suck on helium and say names and phrases. The results were predictably and adorably hilarious.
The Colombian beauty took a deep breath from the balloon and started to speak. She only got as far as "My name ..." when she started to crack up as Fallon and the audience roared with laughter.
She also quipped in her altered voice, "My English is very good in this thing, no?" But for all the Spanish viewers, Vergara also gave a very loud, high-pitched shout out in her native language. "¡Vivan los Colombianos!"
