Actress Sofia Vergara lend her voice to a Flamenco Dancer in the upcoming motion picture, "The Emoji Movie". According to PEOPLE, her character is the very popular dancing woman in the red dress from the cellphone keyboard. For the movie, the emoji was updated with a black dress and clenches to red rose between her teeth.
"I play the Flamenco Dancer," Vergara tells to PEOPLE. "And she is always doing the Flamenco. She does it in the morning when she gets up, she does it when she's eating, she probably does it when she's sleeping. It makes things like driving or putting on her makeup very difficult," she added.
The plot is developed in the city of Textopolis, where all the emojis have the same facial expression, except Gene since it was born with a filter that allows him to achieve several expressions.
"I thought it was a great adventure and who does not like emoji?" Vergara says of her role. "I thought she was going to be a perfect role for me because people are always saying that I look like her!"
Directed by Tony Leondis, the animated adventure hits the theater July 28, and stars Maya Rudolph, Steven Wright, Jennifer Coolidge and Patrick.
The Colombian-American actress and model, made her first appearance whe she was 17 years old in a Pepsi commercial which was aired in Latin America. She was named one of People magazine's "50 most beautiful people" and named by the The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard as one of the most influential Latin women in Hollywood.
Vergara received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on May 7, 2015.
