Conservative Influencer Says Slavery Should Be Reinstated 'If Everyone In the State Wants It': 'What Do I Give a S--t'

A conservative Los Angeles-based influencer stated that legislative issues should be left up to individual states to be decided: including whether or not slavery is enacted.

Conservative influencer and podcaster Emily Wilson, who hosts the podcast Emily Saves America, debated liberal TikTok star Dean Withers in an episode of the podcast One Night With Steiny.

During the debate, the two online personalities discussed the topic of abortion, including their opinions on legislation surrounding the issue.

"I legitimately don't see how you, as a woman, could stand for someone that overturned Roe v. Wade sending the right to get an abortion back to the states," said Withers in response to Wilson voicing her support for former President Donald Trump.

Wilson then interjected, stating that she thought it "should be state by state."

"I think if everyone in a state wants something, go ahead and have it," Wilson continued.

"So if everyone in Alabama wanted slavery back, you'd be okay with that?" Withers questioned, to which Wilson responded "Sure. If everyone in the state wants it, go ahead. What do I give a s—t."

Some audience members who listened to the podcast took to social media to voice their criticism of Wilson's comments, expressing their shock at her on-camera admittance.

"When I was told @emilysavesusa would be the Republican on this show, I already knew it would be a dumpster fire. Not even a fourth of the way in & she defends slavery on a state level to stay consistent with her disgusting pro-abortion views. Pick better @realsteiny," said one X (formerly Twitter) user.

"And you said that if a state wanted slavery, you would be ok with this... ON CAMERA," wrote another.

Withers himself commented on the debate, posting to his personal X account about his conversation with the Trump-supporting podcaster.

"So basically I obliterated @emilysavesusa in a debate. here's some key take aways: she thinks that states should have the right to legalize slavery, she has no clue what an IUD does, she's a snowflake that's scared of logic," wrote Withers.

Wilson responded to his post, referring to him using a homophobic slur.

"You were literally having a meltdown off camera the entire time. And told steiny to cut out half the pod. Keep grifting f-g," she wrote.
