A Nigerian woman who was kidnapped while she was on her way to attend a friend's funeral, spent three nights in captivity before being released.

In a video conference, Nneka Leonard narrated the horrifying moments she had to go through during her days in captivity, including watching 3 other female kidnap victims being brutally murdered.

Leonard was kidnapped on Saturday, May 15, while she was traveling from Owerri in Imo State to Port Harcourt in Rivers State. She was on her way to attend a friend’s funeral when she got on a bus not knowing that the passengers were kidnappers.

She said there were five women and three men in the bus.

In the course of the journey, Leonard said a man approached her from behind and covered her nose with a handkerchief, causing her to pass out.

She woke up to find herself tied up in a dense forest along with the other women victims. Leonard said she began screaming in fear.

At this point, 6 hefty men approached her and beat her up for not keeping her mouth shut.

Leonardo said she was stripped naked by the boss of the gang. The man then searched her bag and took away the valuables.

The kidnappers told her they will let her go if they get money. She was asked to call her loved ones and demand a ransom.

The men then took a naked photo of Leonardo and sent it to her family demanding money in return for her freedom.

She said on Sunday the kidnappers told her that she will be set free as her family has agreed to pay money.

The kidnappers told another victim that her family is not willing to pay for her freedom. Then and there they called someone by the name "Alhaji", and checked if he needed any fresh body parts in return for money.

"They said, 'Ah, Alhaji, fresh meat dey oh. How we go take do am? Which part you need?' The Alhaji say 'breast, I need her second to the last finger, I need her eye, I need her ear," Leonardo narrated the call.

"So he said, 'OK, how much are you looking at?' and he said, 'Ah, Alhaji, if you can give us 4 million, we'll kill it now now now and send it to you."

"The Alhaji started pricing. He said 'let me give you people 3 million, it's OK'. They said 'done' then cut the phone," Leonardo said.

"They carried the girl immediately."

While she was being carried the woman begged the kidnappers not to kill her, saying she is an orphan and that she had no one to pay for her.

Her cries were in vain. The kidnappers placed the woman on an iron table and dismembered her body in front of the other victims.

"So, after some hours, they came back again, they took the other girl, they cut her, they called and found out the part they needed again. That one said 'her private part, breast, and eye', that is the only thing he needed that night," Leonardo said.

On Monday morning, the men came back for the third girl. Leonardo said this time the buyer wanted just her head so the kidnappers decapitated her.

Later that day, the kidnappers told the two remaining women that they would be released as their family had paid the money.

They told both of them to host a thanksgiving when they return because they are fortunate to have people willing to pay for them.

She was put on a bike later that night and was dumped in the middle of a busy road.

She said no one offered to help her because of the dirty clothes and bruises on her face until one man approached and took her to safety.
