Life comes a full circle for Shayanna Jenkins—Aaron Hernandez’s former fiancée, who recently gave birth to a baby girl. Jenkins’s baby daddy is Dino Guilmette, a 39-year-old bar owner, and boxer. Guilmette and Jenkins are both parents and have kids with their former partners. Here are five fun facts to know about Jenkin’s new man.
1. They all have an “Aaron” connect: While Jenkins met Guilmette through mutual friends, there’s another link that connects them both together—Um, Aaron. It turns out, Hernandez and Guilmette played football back at the University of Florida. Despite a not-so-clean past, the New England Patriots star seemed over the moon to be a father the second time around. “I’m going to have my hands full but I’m happy about it,” he said.
2. Guilmette and Shayanna had that spark from day one: Chemistry can’t be forced. Neither can it be hidden. And, well, the same was evidenced in Guilmette and Shayanna’s fairytale romance. Despite a lot of ugly controversies surrounding Shayanna’s pregnancy, including how Aaron was the real dad, Guilmette chose to stand by her. “There are a lot of ugly comments out there. I don’t listen to them. I tune them out any way,” he said.
3. Guilmette’s family thinks Shayanna is the one: While there’s still ambiguity on whether their beautiful relationship will culminate into romance, Guilmette’s father believes that Shayanna could make his son really happy. “She really is a special person. I adore her. I’ve watched all of my kids get married. I’ve married all of them off so far, except Dino. So hopefully that’s next,” said Bill to a media outlet.
4. Guilmette has a past, too: Guilmette has fathered a child before, and by the looks of it, he seems to be a doting dad. Guilmette has come to terms with the fact that Shayanna has a past too with a daughter from Aaron, and together they seem to be ready to build together.
5. Guilmette reportedly faced off with a rival at work: Guilmette isn’t one to mince words, and thus came out in the open to express his dislike towards Louis Savastano, a former professional baseball player. They even banged heads a couple of times, and his need to put Savastano in place egged him on to take part in a Brawl For It All Province in Rhode Island back in 2017. All proceeds from the event went to the Gary Balletto Foundation.
