This is not Sharon Stone's first time in hospital after a stroke. In 2001, the actress experienced a near-fatal stroke and was hospitalized. it was initially thought that Stone's brain-bleeding episode was caused by a ruptured aneurysm. But according to her neurosurgeon, Dr. Michael Lawton, Stone's SAH was actually caused by a vertebral artery dissection (VAD) at the base of her skull. Luckily, Sharon Stone made a full recovery from this incident. Until her condition is confirmed, we will not know whether this was indeed another stroke.
