Three people were killed after an explosion at the Two Serendra building in Taguiga, Philippines rocked the residential neighborhood.

CBS News says the three people killed in the Serendra explosion were crushed by concrete that had fallen on top of their van. The Serendra explosion happened around 8:30 pm Friday night. Police are still investigating the cause of the blast which has yet to be determined. Officials warn about making unsubstantiated claims regarding the cause of the Serendra explosion until they make an official announcement.

According to Yahoo News, President Benigno Aquino III was on scene supervising the investigation at the site. The president would not give any interviews but did instruct all government agencies to cooperate in the case.

The building at the center of the Serendra explosion was fully evacuated and residents will not be allowed to return for some time. The four injured in the blast have been taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries. One victim had to undergo surgery after being burned in the explosion.
