OFFICIAL SYNOPSIS: Vicenta Acero (Carolina Miranda) and Daniel Phillips (Luis Ernesto Franco) swore eternal love after finishing off Chucho Casares (Sergio Goyri) in the middle of the desert, but they know that fate isn’t on their side. Both the Mexican and United States governments are after the Acero family, which they blame for the death of the governor of Chihuahua, Chucho Casares. Forced to go underground, Vicenta and Daniel decide to move away, to Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas.
They now have more enemies than ever. Indira Cardenas (Gaby Espino,) who has become head of the Texas Department of Homeland Security and Border Patrol, continues to be Vicenta and Daniel’s greatest obstacle. Indio Amaro (Jorge Zarate), left without money or power, blackmails Indira to allow him to smuggle drugs across the border and rebuild his cartel. But Vicenta and Daniel intercept the cargo, leaving Indio ruined and swearing to take revenge on them.
As if that weren’t enough, a new enemy appears: the Colombian Capo known as Mr. Romero (Diego Cadavid). Mr. Romero is in fact Julian Montero, Briceida Montero’s son and Rodrigo Montero’s nephew, and he has come to Mexico to avenge the death of his family.
Mr. Romero allies with all sides to get what he wants, teaming up first with Indio Amaro and then Tuti (Ana Lucia Dominguez). Eager for revenge against el Indio, Tuti has been luring away his customers to her own organization, “The Havana Cartel,” run by a clan of beautiful women.
Salvador (Michel Duval) is still in love with his wife, Rosario (Oka Giner), and continues working with Vicenta and Daniel in the business of helping immigrants cross the border. Gallo Quintanilla (Oscar Priego), aware of the corrupt schemes in which the Mexican president has been implicated, blackmails him to lift charges against the Aceros. He decides to launch his own political career, becoming Mayor of Nuevo Laredo.
Thus empowered and with his political star on the rise, Gallo can now manipulate the strings of power to benefit the Acero family. So when Romero becomes obsessed with Vicenta, to the point of sending Indio Amaro to kidnap her, Gallo recruits Daniel and Salvador in a rescue mission that leaves behind a trail of death and desolation.
Once again, blood and revenge follow Vicenta Acero, who, despite her pain, will continue to deliver justice along the border as … La Coyote.
