As Selena Gomez keeps going on her “Revival Tour” things continue to get more intense for the singer’s fans. It was at her Montreal concert that Gomez began to choke up and started crying because she felt so moved by her fans’ love and dedication.
Gomez was performing her 2011 tune “Who Says” from the album “When the Sun Goes Down” when she reportedly noticed fans carrying signs that read, “We are worth it,” and “Who says you’re not worth it?” At that moment attempted the singer tried to keep going and push through, but the tears crept up so she had to let her Selenators take over, which made the moment all the more emotional.
At the end of the song, the “Hands to Myself” singer thanked her fans again for their undying love and support. “Thank you guys for spending your night with me…whether you’ve been here from the beginning or now, it’s just been such a crazy ride because you’ve seen me go through my ups and downs, and I couldn’t be more grateful.”
Gomez definitely had her toughest year in 2014, when she was diagnosed with Lupus, went to rehab (to treat the disease, not for drug or alcohol problems), parted ways with her “momager” Mandy Teefey, cut ties with her record label (Disney's Hollywood Records), and somewhere along the way broke up with Justin Bieber.
The former Disney star has described her album “Revival” as the most personal and heartfelt music she’s put out so far. And her fans, the Selenators, definitely love it.
If it’s any indication of how much love there is out there for the singer, she recently became the most followed person on Intsagram in the entire world. She is now over 80 million followers, beating out all of the Kardashian clan and her BFF Taylor Swift.
