Selena Gomez is stopping the hiatus in her music career. The singer-actress already confirmed a fresh new album coming the fans’ way and they should be excited as this is a special one, containing tracks like no one's heard from her in the past.

The “The Dead Don’t Die” actress had been through so much that past few years -- breakups, chronic health issues, and even negativity from haters -- one would think she’d rather stay out of the limelight for good. However, that would mean hiding her acting and singing talents, and doing that serves no one, including her.

Now that she’s braving another go of public exposure by dropping a new album, she made sure she has the reins in her own hands tightly. All the songs to be featured in the upcoming album have her personal touch, and not just because she’s using her vocals.

According to Justin Bieber's ex, all the tracks in this pop album were used to relay her personal story or the crazy journey she went through to get to this point.

"Working on this new record, I just wanted it to be me, all me," she said on Coach's Dream It Real podcast.

Naturally, having so much of her personality and story on it, made her proud. Doing the album, like doing all the things people really, genuinely love, was memorable and healing for her.

"Every song is a story I’ve experienced. To that point, I think there’s no one who’s going to tell my story better than myself," Gomez said.

"I just really wanted to kind of just live with my story a bit and create it into something that means a lot to me."

According to her, the songs will not just be about pain and love, as some immediately would assume when an artist talks about “personal story.” Instead, the songs will show the culmination of her tenacity and strength, which are what people need to know and hear more about these days.

Despite what she has gone through at a young age, Gomez has always been an advocate for kindness, respect, and compassion.

Back in 2009, she was appointed as a UNICEF ambassador, wherein she played an active role in helping and promoting the causes of the world’s most vulnerable children. Despite her very busy schedule then, she was always present in related campaigns, events, and other programs of UNICEF USA, making sure she’s engaging with the youth. This is just one evidence of the kind of person she is, and the kind that her fans will feel in the new album -- relatable at a personal level.

She added that there will be a strong pop feel on this album with a whole lot of “soulful” tracks.

When is the new album coming out? Soon.

A month back, during an appearance on "The Tonight Show," Gomez revealed to Jimmy Fallon that she was just working on some finishing touches and her album would be ready to go. It was a relief for her, as completing the album took four years total.

“I have to do, like, a few finishing things with it, but I’m just relieved,” she told him. “It took me four years now to even feel at a good place with this album, and it’s just because I had such huge moments that happened in my life personally that [it was like] how was I going to capture that and how was I actually going to feel good about what I was saying? So, I kept going and I’m relieved now."
