Selena Gomez is one of the most successful artists who started their career via Disney shows. While she’s at the peak of her career, health issues are stopping her from achieving more because of her serious condition.

She’s young, but the actress/singer already had a kidney transplant in 2017. The surgery resulted to complications brought about by lupus, an incurable disease that Gomez was diagnosed with in 2013.

It was her best friend Francia Raisa who donated her kidney so she can be saved from life-threatening complications. Gomez and Raisa’s photo after their operations circulated online, and the former “Wizards Of Waverly Place” star was all praises for her best friend, who gave up something important for her well-being. At that time, she also called her BFF as her lifesaver.

But then it was recently reported that Raisa and Gomez have cut their ties and are no longer on speaking terms. This is a big twist to their friendship, and many were surprised, especially when publications confirmed that the pair has stopped communicating.

According to Radar Online, Gomez and Raisa haven’t talked since October 2018. The cause of their rift was Justin Bieber’s ex-girlfriend’s unhealthy lifestyle. She was said to have vowed to shift to a healthier living after the kidney transplant, but Raisa found out that her best friend didn’t keep this promise and continued to party and drink.

Raisa allegedly called out Gomez for her behavior, and this led to their fallout. She was upset at the fact that all the hardships they had gone through during the procedure were put to naught as the receiver of the kidney seemed uninterested in taking care of her body. She felt that her sacrifices had gone to waste as the person for whom she made the sacrifice continued with her unhealthy choices.

“Recovery was hard,” Raísa told W Magazine in March last year. “I didn’t want to eat, I didn’t want to drink anything.”

After the news of their conflict was exposed, it seems that Gomez started to change. She was reported to have stopped drinking, at least for the time being.

As per Radar, Gomez has given up alcohol as she was spotted surrounded with water just a few days after the news of her fallout with Raisa have emerged. Despite the change, an insider disclosed that Gomez doesn’t know if she can still be friends with the “Grown-ish” actress.
