Selena Gomez is back in the Hollywood spotlight and now she has switched things up for the better. After taking some much needed time off and entering a Tennessee rehab facility, the singer is back and she has made some much needed changes in her life!
According to E! News, Gomez has made some changes after her three-month break from the limelight. During her stay at her Tennessee rehab facility, the star has learned what truly strengthens and what she needs to do to remain in a positive place.
The site reports that the actress participated in Thrive Global's questionnaire and opened up about what fuels her, gives her strength and more. When asked when was the last time she felt burned out, she answered, "Three months ago, before I took a hiatus to take care of myself."
After reevaluating which people she needs to have in her life, as well as who she doesn't need in life, Selena revealed that she no longer feels as addicted to her cell phone. "I recently took 90 days off. During that time I did not have my cellphone," she explained. "It was the most refreshing, calming, rejuvenating feeling. Now I rarely pick up my phone, and only limited people have access to me."
It's great to see that the Mexican-American singer is taking her post-rehab treatment very seriously. After her emotional speech at the 2016 American Music Awards, many people realized the price of fame and sometimes putting people above yourself can cause you to break down.
"In 2014, this stage was actually the first time that I was authentically 100 percent honest with all of you. I think it's safe to say most of you know my life whether I liked it or not. And I had to stop. Because I had everything. And I was absolutely broken inside. I kept it all together enough to where I would never let you down, but I kept it too much together to where I let myself down."
We are so happy that Selena is in a much better place. We hops that she continues to maintain a positive headspace and serve as an inspiration to many of her fans.
