Selena Gomez is living her best life, and there are no two ways about it. The 27-year-old artist and entrepreneur isn’t letting anything dull her sparkle — not even the buzz that’s surrounding her ex-boyfriend Justin Bieber’s glitzy wedding to Hailey Baldwin.
According to a source, she’s “doing really well” and is thriving emotionally. “She’s taken charge of her health and has been very consistent with all the important stuff like her nutrition and her sleep and her physical activity so her health is very stable right now,” said the source further.
Gomez might have had a tumultuous breakup in the past, and now she understands the need for good company. “A big part of that is her inner circle, she’s got such a great group of friends around her and they really lift each other up and help each other grow,” said the source. “They encouraged her to take on the project she just finished and it was the best thing she could have done.”
On the work front, Gomez has much to look forward to: a brand new Netflix docu-series titled “Residing Undocumented,” which premiered on Oct. 2, where Selena donned the executive producer’s hat. The docu-series is a special project in which Gomez has creatively invested in since the past two years.
“She wants to be a change-maker and she’s doing it,” said the source. “Selena feels deeply called to help end this crisis so this isn’t going to be the end of the fight for her by any means. Selena loves her career as an artist, as an entertainer, but she feels equally called to help the world and she is answering that call and it’s very fulfilling for her.”
While she’s setting goals on Instagram and off it, everyone’s raving about how Gomez is pursuing fulfillment at what could otherwise be a tough phase with Bieber tying the knot in a glitzy wedding with wife Baldwin on Sept. 30 in South Carolina. This is the couple’s second wedding, which came a year after Bieber and Baldwin got hitched in a New York City courthouse.
It’s important to let bygones be bygones. And Gomez and Bieber are teaching us the same.
